Tragic news from Rhossili as Daniel Lewis Morgan, a 42-year-old adventurer from Cross Hands, has sadly passed away following a suspected paragliding accident. The accident took place last month on the Gower Peninsula, and despite the swift response from emergency services, Daniel couldn’t be saved.

South Wales Police confirmed they were alerted to the incident on the evening of May 11 by HM Coastguard, but the efforts of both the coastguard and air ambulance were in vain. An inquest into his death has been opened, with further investigations ongoing.

Daniel’s family and friends have shared touching tributes, painting a picture of a man who embraced life with a spirit of adventure and a generous heart. They describe him as a “fiercely loyal, honest, and deeply caring” individual who lived life to the fullest and was always there to support those around him.
In honour of his adventurous spirit and the love he held for Rhossili Bay, where the accident occurred, Daniel’s family have launched fundraisers to support the Wales Air Ambulance and the Coastguard. These organisations play crucial roles in responding to such emergencies, and the family expresses immense gratitude for their dedication and swift response during Daniel’s time of need.
