🎾 Drama on Centre Court! During the Wimbledon clash between Grigor Dimitrov and Matteo Berrettini, there was a hilarious courtside moment that had everyone in stitches. Commentator Andrew Castle playfully “fired” Eugenie Bouchard live on air! 😂
Bouchard, who’s transitioned from tennis star to BBC pundit, faced a language barrier hiccup when Berrettini started speaking Italian during a heated moment. Castle jokingly asked if she could translate, to which Bouchard confessed she only speaks English and French. Genie laughed, “Is that it, am I fired?” Castle quipped back, “That’s it, thank you for coming, you’re fired.” The laughter from both sides of the mic made it a memorable Wimbledon moment! 🎤🇮🇹
But don’t worry, it was all in good fun, and Tim Henman even stepped in to defend Genie! Meanwhile, Dimitrov is back on the court with a resolute spirit after last year’s injury heartbreak, ready to take on the next challenge.
