Heartbreaking News from Pontypridd 💔
Violet, a beloved rescue horse, is on a tough road to recovery after a devastating event. According to her heartbroken co-owners, an off-lead dog reportedly attacked her in her own secure field between 8pm on July 14 and 8am on July 15. This sweet mare, who once knew only love and kindness, now bears the brunt of severe injuries and emotional trauma from the incident.
The attack left Violet with serious wounds: swelling around her eyes, puncture wounds on her legs, and a nasty gash on her back. Swift vet intervention began her healing process, but the journey is ongoing and costly. To help with unexpected veterinary bills, a GoFundMe has been started for Violet’s care. If you’d like to support her, consider donating to their page.
Her owners describe Violet’s courage as astounding, yet express their pain seeing her unsettled in her once-safe haven. “Before this, Violet was the sweetest, kindest mare who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Now she’s frightened to even go back into her own field,” they shared.
In a bid to prevent further despair, CCTV cameras now monitor the field, although initial evidence was insufficient for police to extend their investigation. The owners are urging anyone with information to come forward to potentially reopen the case.
The tale has resonated with many, prompting an outpouring of support. Her family wants to thank everyone for their overwhelming kindness and generosity. “Your messages of encouragement have meant more than words can say.”
Let’s help Violet and stand up for those who can’t speak for themselves 🐴💪. Share this story, spread awareness, and let’s hope Violet finds peace and safety in her sanctuary once again. 🌟
For those eager to lend a hand, every donation can aid Violet’s road to recovery. If you can’t donate, sharing her story would mean the world to her and her family.
Stay safe and keep your beloved pets safe too. ❤️
