Tragic news as we remember the life of Matthew Sims, a 30-year-old father from Lampeter, who sadly passed away after a motorcycle crash on his way to work. Matt, as he was affectionately known, leaves behind two beloved daughters, Emma and Beca, and his partner, Katie. The accident occurred around 7am on Saturday, July 11, near Blaenplwyf, Aberystwyth, involving a blue Suzuki motorcycle. Despite being airlifted to hospital, Matt succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, July 16, at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
Matt was cherished not only by his family but also by a wide circle of friends who remember him fondly. His family released a heartfelt tribute, saying, “He will be sadly missed by so many people. Rest in peace, Matt.”
