Exciting changes are on the horizon for Crawshay Court, a retirement complex in Llantwit Major! The Vale of Glamorgan Council has unveiled plans to revamp the complex, promising both aesthetic and functional upgrades. 🏢✨
The project focuses on enhancing energy efficiency with roof and wall insulation, new windows, and solar panels—great news for sustainability! But it doesn’t stop there. Design improvements are set to give the complex a contemporary facelift, featuring chic dark grey window frames and varied roof levels for added charm.
For those who love nature, worry not! The plans include preserving the surrounding landscape, retaining trees, and maintaining the communal green spaces, which are perfect for a leisurely stroll or simply soaking up some sun. 🌳🌞
Accessibility will also see a boost with the addition of a new visitor car park and dedicated drop-off zones, making it easier than ever for friends and family to visit.
The design aims to seamlessly blend with the existing character of Llantwit Major while giving the building a modern twist. This redevelopment promises to create a refreshed, vibrant community space for all its residents to enjoy!
