🚨 Shock in Aberystwyth! 🚨 Two men, Ellis McGuinness and David Lloyd, unleashed an unprovoked attack on a stranger in a nightclub loo, leaving him battered and bruised. Described by the judge as a “cowardly and mindless” act, the assailants have records surpassing 100 offences.

The victim, caught off guard in the Academy club’s toilets, endured a senseless bombardment. In his aftermath, anxiety and trouble sleeping now linger as harsh reminders.

McGuinness and Lloyd were nabbed by police, but not before Lloyd upped the ante. While on bail, he brandished a knife at a family celebrating a christening. What should have been a joyful day turned into a nightmare, with Lloyd’s threats ruining the occasion.
Judge Catherine Richards handed down sentences—20 months for McGuinness, and 44 for Lloyd. They’ll serve half their time in custody, then it’s back to the community under watchful eyes.
Both men expressed remorse, stating battles with alcohol and troubled pasts. Working with counsellors, Lloyd aims for a fresh start in construction post-release.
A sobering reminder of the impact of violence and the importance of second chances. #JusticeServed #StaySafe
