Former Wales manager Rob Page is embracing an exciting new challenge as the head coach of Liverpool FC’s U21 team. 🌟 Since taking the reins in June, the 51-year-old has been thriving and is “absolutely loving” life on Merseyside with the Premier League champions.

Page played a pivotal role in Welsh football history, steering the national team to two major tournaments, including a World Cup appearance. Now, he’s channeling that success into nurturing the next generation of Liverpool stars. ⚽💪
Initially hesitant about the role, Page was convinced by Liverpool Academy director Alex Inglethorpe to join. Sharing his enthusiasm, Page said, “It’s completely different to what I have been used to but I am absolutely loving it. The energy from these young players is inspiring, and the support from our staff, especially legends like Jay Spearing, is incredible.”
Page’s passion for developing young talent is clear, having previously led the Wales U21s. This experience shines through as he helps shape Liverpool’s future stars. His expertise in management makes him relatable to the budding players aiming for first-team success or a promising football career.
Reflecting on the challenges and opportunities with the U21 squad, Page said, “It’s about real experiences. Whether the players transition to the first team or go out on loan, they’ve got to be ready to give their all. That’s the challenge I’m up for!”
