Local art collective THEW CREW, led by talented artists Ryan Lee Davies and Matthew Cole, took these whimsical ideas and turned them into the vibrant murals you see today. Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, these pieces beautifully represent the spirit of Port Talbot through the eyes of its children.

If you’re keen to see the magic in person, head to the murals now, or catch behind-the-scenes insights at this year’s Being Human Festival steel town schoolkids exhibition from November 7-15 at The Art Space on Station Road.

Local artists expressed their gratitude: “Growing up in this community, it’s a joy to bring the children’s visions to life. We hope everyone enjoys this colourful homage to our town’s past, present, and future.”
