A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible community who rallied together to raise over £430,000 in just 60 hours for Tŷ Hafan, the hospice that stood by Gwenno George and Luke Nicholas during their darkest hours. Their precious son, Emrys Arthur, born prematurely at 25 weeks, sadly passed away at just eight days old.

Gwenno shared her touching gratitude, expressing her wish to hold Emrys again and tell him of the “huge impact” he made. Together with Luke, they hope their story raises awareness and support for other families facing similar heartbreak.

Gwenno recalled the emotional journey to lay Emrys to rest in Criccieth, where he could be watched over by his grandparents. With their dog Waldo by their side, the journey provided a moment of peace and connection, far from the clinical environment they knew.

Tŷ Hafan’s Head of Fundraising, Dan Bamsey, praised the overwhelming generosity of supporters from across Wales: “You’ve helped us exceed expectations and ensure even more children with life-shortening conditions receive the care they deserve. Every donation makes a real difference.”
This remarkable act of kindness demonstrates the power of community, offering hope and support to families like Gwenno’s and others. Though the match-funding window has closed, donations to Tŷ Hafan continue to have a profound impact. Let’s keep the love and generosity flowing because no family should face their child’s short life alone. 💖 #EmrysArthur #TyHafan #EveryPreciousLifeAppeal
