Absurd Justifications for Possessing Child Exploitative Images on Device Unveiled by Man

📱 A man from Swansea, Peter Lince, has made some absurd excuses after getting caught with nearly 600 indecent images of children on his phone. When questioned by police, he claimed his phone “autocorrected” his rejection of such images to “yes”. Other excuses included being blackmailed and “accidentally” clicking while searching for adult content.

The shocking details came to light when officers executed a search warrant on his home in January 2024. They discovered his phone had numerous images depicting severe abuse, including the rape of children as young as four. Lince even distributed some of these images through group chats.

Despite a history with similar offences, Lince was not previously charged due to perceived vulnerabilities. However, his repeated deceitful explanations did not sit well during his court appearance. The judge sternly reminded him that these images are of real children suffering horrific abuse.

Lince faced sentencing at Swansea Crown Court, where he had already pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing indecent images. With a guilty plea discount, he received a two-year suspended sentence, alongside a requirement to undergo a rehabilitation course and complete 200 hours of unpaid work. He will also be on the sex offender register and subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the next decade.

The judge concluded with a firm warning: “You will be getting no further chances.”
