An 18-year-old from Newbridge has been charged with the murder of 17-year-old Lainie Williams, who was fatally stabbed. Police have confirmed her identity and the young man will appear in Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
In this tragic event, a 38-year-old woman was also injured but has thankfully been discharged from the hospital. Our thoughts are with Lainie’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers during this incredibly difficult time.
