🌿 Community Spirit in Cowbridge! 🌿

In the picturesque Welsh town of Cowbridge, residents are rallying together to preserve their beloved green space known as the Three Fields. 🏞️ Facing potential development threats, these locals have devised an innovative plan to buy the land at auction and safeguard it for the people.

The fields, cherished by many for dog walks, river adventures, and even romantic proposals, link Cowbridge to Llanblethian and are a favourite among walkers. 🚶♀️ To prevent any alterations by developers, the community aims to maintain the fields just as they are.

With a guide price set at £185,000, the passionate residents have set up a website, Save the Three Fields Cowbridge, to gather some much-needed support for their cause. All contributions not needed will cover any leftover maintenance costs or be refunded if the auction doesn’t go as hoped, thanks to GoFundMe’s policy.
Local champion Adrian Griffiths initiated the campaign, stressing the importance of preserving this cherished land for generations to come. “It holds deep memories for us; we must keep it for the future,” he emphasised. 🏡
Councillor Charles Champion has expressed full support for this community effort, acknowledging its significance as a cultural and environmental asset. 🌱 If successful, the land will be managed by a community land trust, ensuring it stays a public treasure.
Join the fight for Cowbridge’s green heart! Your support could make all the difference. 💚
