Mark Owen, a 57-year-old from Monmouth, is once again headed to prison after being caught breaching his sexual harm prevention order just days after being released. 🚨

After serving a nine and a half year sentence for grooming a teenage girl, concerns were raised about the apps he’d downloaded onto his phone. His offender manager noticed something wasn’t right with popular apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Facebook installed, violating terms of his order meant to protect children. 📱
Despite being released only on October 23, Owen’s liberty was short-lived. He was arrested and admitted to breaching conditions, although he claimed to have “accidentally” accessed TikTok. The judge wasn’t convinced, describing him as “highly predatory.” 🤨
Sentenced to a further 27 months for not adhering to his order, Owen will now serve up to half of this in prison with the remainder on licence, adding another chapter to his troubling legal history. ⚖️
