🚶♂️🐍 Spotted on a Stroll: Snake Alert for Gower Dog Walkers! 🌞

Heads up, fellow adventurers! Paul Rees, a passionate walker and explorer, had an unexpected encounter on his recent trek through the stunning Gower Peninsula. While enjoying the historic Reynoldston to Penmaen route, Paul stumbled upon an adder soaking up the sun. With temperatures hitting over 20C, these venomous snakes are more likely to be spotted as they bask in the warmth.

Paul advises, “It’s quite the sight to see, but remember to enjoy these creatures from a safe distance and keep your pets close!” As adders can pose a danger, especially to dogs, it’s best to keep your furry friends on a lead just in case.
For those who relish the outdoors, this time of year is perfect for exploring the 50-mile Gower Pilgrimage Way, which links 17 historic churches. But don’t forget to stay alert and respectful of the wildlife sharing these picturesque paths.
Stay safe, enjoy the sights, and let’s appreciate the beauty and surprises of nature! 📸🌿 Have you had a memorable encounter in the wild? Share your stories below! 👇
