Alex Scott is expected to skip the upcoming I’m a Celebrity reunion, as she’s currently supporting her girlfriend Jess Glynne during a family emergency. Jess’s mum recently underwent urgent brain surgery following a severe stroke, and Alex has chosen to be by her side during this challenging time.
While Alex missed out on the show’s finale too, she hasn’t been shy about expressing her opinion on her jungle experience and the way it was portrayed. The former Lioness was the first contestant to leave the jungle and was hoping viewers would see her fun-loving side, which she feels the show didn’t capture. She voiced her thoughts about the focus of the program’s edits, saying much of the fun she had with her campmates didn’t make it to the screen.
Despite these criticisms, Alex had nothing but praise for her campmates and expressed gratitude for the support they and ITV have shown her during this difficult period. She had formed strong bonds within the jungle and appreciated the camaraderie.
Due to these family commitments, it seems unlikely that Alex will partake in Saturday’s reunion show. Her priority is being a pillar of support for Jess and her family, a sentiment Jess has wholeheartedly echoed, saying she looks forward to having Alex back by her side.
The I’m a Celebrity Coming Out special is set to broadcast this Saturday at 9:05 pm on ITV1 and ITVX. Fans will surely miss Alex’s presence but undoubtedly appreciate her commitment to family first.
