Anti-immigration advocate group alleges car vandalism with hate message amid fire incident

A shocking incident has reportedly taken place involving a car associated with an anti-immigration group, Save Our Future & Our Kids Futures. Images of a burnt-out Range Rover have surfaced, and it’s claimed the vehicle was deliberately set on fire and vandalised with the slur “Nazi” etched into its door. The group, known for organising protests outside an asylum hotel in Falkirk, shares that a member experienced a tyre puncture and temporarily abandoned the car while waiting for assistance. During this time, the alleged attack occurred.

Despite the incident, the group remains defiant, posting on social media, “We remain strong. We will not be intimidated.” This group has led numerous protests, some of which turned contentious, outside the hotel that also housed Afghan asylum seeker Sadeq Nikzad, who was jailed for a serious crime in the summer.

Protests have often been tense, seeing confrontations with counter-protesters. A notable demonstration in August attracted over 600 people and was marked by troubling placards and a subsequent arrest. Police presence has been significant at these events to maintain order and keep demonstrators separated.

Save Our Future organiser Connor Graham insists that the group is not linked to extremist views, asserting, “We are not affiliated with political parties. We are just local people who want to protect our community.” However, he strongly condemns some of the signs seen at protests, stating they don’t represent the group’s beliefs.

Scottish officials, including John Swinney, have criticised such demonstrations as “completely unacceptable,” emphasising that Scotland is a welcoming place that should not foster fear or alarm. Swinney stated, “Peaceful protest is a right, but some actions outside asylum seekers’ hotels don’t reflect who we are.”

Both Save Our Future & Our Kids Futures and Police Scotland have been approached for further comments regarding the incident and ongoing tensions.
