🌍✈️ Wales’ Rugby Squad Hits the Road!
Our brave lads have jetted off to Argentina, kicking off what promises to be a challenging away campaign in the Nations Championship. Coming off a fantastic 39-24 win over Fiji in Cardiff, the squad now faces a gruelling travel schedule. With a 17-hour flight to Buenos Aires and minimal training sessions on the cards, it’s all hands on deck for a unique test against the Pumas this Saturday.
Coach Steve Tandy is optimistic, despite admitting the logistical hurdles. “We’ll have to make do with one training session in Argentina and maybe two in South Africa. But these tours are all about bonding and learning. It’s a great prep for the World Cup,” he said.
🇦🇷 Argentina’s gearing up too! They’ve reinforced their squad with key players like Efrain Elias and Marcos Kremer after their recent defeat to Scotland. The Pumas are looking to extend their winning streak against Wales, with their last win in the fixture coming back in Cardiff, 2022.
Meanwhile, over in South Africa, England suffered a tough defeat against the Springboks. Their fifth straight Test loss saw them grappling with discipline issues, including multiple yellow cards. Captain Jamie George acknowledged the need for improvement. “Discipline let us down, but this experience will make us stronger,” he shared.
Don’t miss Wales vs Argentina this weekend. It’s bound to be a cracker in San Juan! 🏉🔥
