But this wasn’t just any trail run—Lizzie took on this monumental challenge to raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK, inspired by personal connections and the powerful stats: 1 in 8 men will face a prostate cancer diagnosis. For Lizzie, raising awareness is a must, encouraging all men to get checked out! 💙
Her journey wasn’t just about the miles; it was filled with surprises, from unexpected fences to hilarious pit stops! 🍔She even had a close encounter with the adorable pub dog, Teddy, who gave her the boost she needed during the toughest stretch. With support from friends, her journey was loaded with laughter, some tears, and the yummiest snacks – cue cheese toasties and cocktail sausages! 🥪
The weather turned hostile, with icy winds and horizontal rain, but Lizzie carried a special stone as a tribute, reminding her of the reason behind every gruelling step. A spontaneous gesture from a donor touched her heart profoundly, inspiring her to carry on and place the stone at the highest point of her run. 📏
