🌧️ Weather Update Alert! 🌈

As the school summer holidays wrap up, Wales is bracing for a change in the skies. After a sizzling season with record-breaking dry spells and intense heatwaves, the rain is making a comeback, and it’s perfect timing if you’ve been longing for those cooler, breezier days.

Starting Wednesday, expect a mix of weather with showers creeping in and sticking around through the rest of the week. Temperatures will hover around a comfortable 20°C. But here’s your golden day: Friday, August 29! It’s predicted to be the warmest and driest day, ideal for that last summer escapade before the autumn leaves start to fall. ☀️

Heads up for the weekend though – Saturday’s forecast shows a wet afternoon could dampen those last-minute plans. 🌧️ The Met Office warns of more showers and possibly even some thunder and hail as low pressure systems take charge.
With reservoirs low and water resources stretched, this rainfall is a welcome relief for many. It follows an announcement by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) that pegged the last six months as the driest since 1976, with distressing reports of low river flows and fish in trouble emerging.
So while the rain might not be the perfect end to your holiday plans, it’s a much-needed respite for our lands. Here’s to embracing the change and welcoming what autumn may bring! 🍂
