🎢 Terrifying Moment at Barry Island Pleasure Park 🎢
What was meant to be a joyful day out on Barry Island turned into a scare for some families over the weekend. On Saturday, March 21, the popular Dragon ride suddenly halted after one of its front wheel bearings came off track.
A video shared online shows kids being carefully lifted from the ride by a member of staff using a forklift truck equipped with a basket. Although it looked alarming, a park spokesperson assured everyone that safety was never compromised. They explained that the jam actually prevented a more serious incident.
Parents expressed their fear and concern: “We just wanted the kids to have fun on their first ride of the day, but it ended up being quite the ordeal,” shared one mother.
The park has since promised to amp up their safety protocols, replacing the wheel bearings every six months to avoid future issues.
The good news? No one was hurt, and the ride is back up and running after passing rigorous safety checks. Hopefully, the next visit to the park is filled with nothing but happy memories! 🌟
