🏉 Exciting day in rugby! Bath has officially lodged a complaint regarding a TMO controversy after their Champions Cup semi-final against Bordeaux. They claim key replays of head-on collisions involving their number 8, Alfie Barbeary, weren’t shown due to French broadcasters’ limited footage. 🧐
Bath’s head of rugby, Johann van Graan, voiced the team’s need for consistent access to all match footage to ensure fair play, though he praised both the referee and TMO for working with what they had. The French broadcaster, France Télévisions, has refuted these claims, emphasising that the TMO chooses the replays, not them. 🎥
Meanwhile, the Welsh Rugby Union is nearing completion of their coaching team with interviews lined up this month for three key positions: kicking coach, attacking skills coach, and scrum coach. Decisions are anticipated soon! 🏆
In another shift in the rugby world, Denis Buckley is set to leave Connacht after an impressive 17-year run, having been their second most capped player. Where will he head next? Stay tuned for his next move! 🌟
