🎾 Big changes are coming to Wimbledon! 🎾

The BBC is shaking things up, bringing a fresh vibe to its tennis coverage. Unfortunately, this means it’s time to say a fond farewell to Andrew Castle as the lead commentator. The former British No.1 has been the voice of Wimbledon for 23 incredible years, delivering unforgettable moments, including Andy Murray’s historic victory in 2013.

Castle shared, “Getting the gig was a dream, and I’ve been fortunate to cover such an iconic era. The memories are priceless!” Despite stepping down, Castle isn’t leaving the stage entirely just yet. He’ll still be part of BBC’s team next year and is staying positive about new adventures ahead, especially with a new house and a third grandchild on the way!

The BBC’s bold move is part of its efforts to modernise and stay competitive. The All England Club nudged for a contemporary twist, opening the door to new voices. Look out for Eugenie Bouchard, alongside seasoned pros like Andre Agassi. With tennis legend Serena Williams making surprise appearances, the broadcaster faces tough competition and recent criticism, but they’re not backing down.
