It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Karina Haselgrove-Spurin from Rhondda Cynon Taf, who tragically passed away following a car collision in Portbury. Karina, known for her adventurous spirit and infectious laughter, was a beloved friend and cherished soul to those around her. She was critically injured on High Street and succumbed to her injuries the following day in hospital.

Her family remembers her as someone who lit up every room and found joy in life’s adventures, whether travelling, exploring, or simply spending time outdoors. In a touching tribute, they expressed their heartbreak and described her as a loyal friend who loved deeply and lived fully. “Her spirit, laughter, and the love she gave so freely will stay with us always.”
The incident remains under investigation, with a man in his 50s set to attend a voluntary police interview as enquiries continue. Our thoughts are with Karina’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Police urge anyone with information about the collision to come forward and assist with the investigation. If you have any details, please reach out online or call 101, quoting reference number 5226050025.
