The football community is heartbroken as we honour the incredible life of Dan Horder, a beloved player and coach. Known for his “passion, dedication, and kindness,” Dan’s influence at Hawarden Rangers FC went far beyond the pitch. This compassionate man was not just a coach but a dear friend to many, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Hawarden Rangers FC expressed their deep sorrow, stating, “Dan was not only a valued member of our club but a great friend. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the lives he touched.” Our thoughts are with his family—parents Andy and Tricia, and brother Tom—during this tough time.

Dan didn’t just stay within the boundaries of one club. Buckley Town FC Juniors also honoured him, acknowledging his tireless commitment to ensuring kids at Buckley Leisure Centre had their weekly football matches. Described as a true servant to grassroots football in North Wales, his dedication won’t be forgotten. As one tribute sums up beautifully: “RIP Dan, you’ll never be forgotten—always appreciated for your kindness and friendship.”

His absence will be deeply felt across the community, yet his spirit and passion for the game will continue to inspire. Rest in peace, Dan. 🌹⚽
