Heartfelt tributes are pouring in for Tina and Andrew Laverty, a beloved couple tragically killed in a car crash while on holiday in Norway. The Lavertys, from Northampton, shared a passion for travel, exploring the world together for over 30 years. Their adventures took them everywhere from New Zealand to Thailand, and they were visiting Oslo for a second time when the accident occurred.

Family and friends are struggling to process the loss. Tina had recently been in touch with her parents, excited about her trip and planning to call them back after returning to their hotel. Heartbreakingly, that call never came. Tina’s mother, Pat Auger, shared her devastation: “We still can’t believe it. It feels like a bad dream.”

Tina worked in a travel agency before taking on a role at an engineering consultancy, where she managed travel logistics. Andy, as her family affectionately called him, was more than just a son-in-law to Tina’s father—he was a second son. The bond between the couple was undeniable. Pat reflected, “They were devoted to each other and did everything together. I don’t think they could have lived without each other.”
Their love story began when Pat introduced Andrew to her daughter after he helped translate a letter for her husband. From that moment, the Lavertys became an inseparable part of the family. “He was a wonderful son-in-law,” Pat recalls, “Our lives won’t be the same without them.”
The heartfelt memories shared by family serve as a poignant reminder of the deep affection and joy Tina and Andrew brought into the lives of those who knew them. Their adventurous spirits and unwavering devotion to each other continue to inspire all who knew their story.
