🌳 Goodbye Oakwood, hello Mother Nature! 🌿

After nearly four decades, Pembrokeshire’s Oakwood Theme Park, once a haven for thrill-seekers, has closed its gates for good and is now being overtaken by nature. This beloved spot, which opened back in 1987, captured the hearts of many with its classic rides, including the iconic rollercoaster, Megafobia.

Despite its roaring success in the 90s, economic challenges led to its closure in March 2025, leaving locals and visitors stunned. The remains of some attractions can still be seen, while others like Speed: No Limits have found new homes abroad.

Owned by Aspro Parks, a Spanish leisure company with 68 other attractions under its belt, Oakwood’s future is uncertain. As nostalgia floods back to past visitors, it’s clear this place was more than just a park—it was part of our childhood.
Local councillors have hinted at the potential for an all-weather attraction that could breathe new life into the site. Pembrokeshire deserves something extraordinary to replace the magic that Oakwood once brought to families all over the UK.
As nature reclaims the land, we bid farewell to Oakwood—a cherished chapter in Welsh amusement history. 🌟 Share your memories and let us know which ride was your favourite! 🎢ðŸ’
