🚨 **Toy Alert for Parents!** 🚨

Parents across the UK, especially in Carmarthenshire, are being urged to stay vigilant about a new toy craze that poses a severe risk to children’s safety. These popular squishy or squeezy toys, often mimicking stress balls, have been found to be unsafe and potentially explosive! 💥

Carmarthenshire Council’s Trading Standards team has already removed a batch of suspicious squeezy dumpling toys from local shops. Many of these toys breach safety and trademark laws, and they’re being sold without proper safety details.
Testing has uncovered some shocking facts: these imitation toys contain hazardous chemicals, give off strong odours, and worst of all, they can cause burns or even explode! 😱 There’s a concerning trend on social media where kids have been heating them in microwaves, causing them to burst and release dangerously hot, glue-like gel.
Here’s what you need to watch out for:
– Check for UKCA or CE markings.
– Look for missing safety info.
– Avoid toys with chemical smells or leaks.
– NEVER let children microwave them or put them in their mouths.
Cllr Aled Vaughan Owen has stressed the importance of examining toys, particularly those going viral on social media or sold at suspiciously low prices. If you’ve bought any of these toys, do a safety check and stop use immediately if anything seems off.
Stay safe and keep an eye out for these hazardous toys! Share this to spread the word and protect our little ones! 🙌 #ToySafety #ParentAlert #StaySafe
👉 **Important Note:** Always ensure children’s toys are from reliable sources and verify their safety compliance. Let’s look out for one another! 💕
