**When Weight Loss Turns Into A Nightmare**

Meet Hayleigh Davis from Wiltshire, a mum who embarked on a weight loss journey with slimming injections, only to see her world unravel. Standing at 5ft, Hayleigh weighed 14st 2lbs and was bombarded with cruel comments about her size. Desperate for a change after trying countless diets, she decided to give weight loss jabs a shot.
At first, it seemed too good to be true. Within a month, she’d lost over a stone and dropped a dress size. But soon, the scales became an obsession. Ignoring medical advice, Hayleigh began injecting herself more frequently, believing she was in control. The pounds kept falling, but so did her self-esteem.

Despite losing an incredible 8 stone, Hayleigh’s journey wasn’t the success story she’d hoped for. Her family began noticing her bones protruding, prompting her to seek help. In November 2025, she was diagnosed with anorexia—a diagnosis she struggled to accept.
Apart from the emotional toll, the misuse of jabs led to physical health issues for Hayleigh. She faced severe hair loss, painful gallbladder problems, and recurring UTIs affecting her kidneys. Now in treatment at an eating disorder clinic, Hayleigh is on a mission to warn others.
“I’m learning not to fear food and am changing my mindset,” she shares, urging others to research thoroughly before using weight loss injections. “Yes, they work, but consult your GP, and once you hit your goal, stop.”
Hayleigh’s cautionary tale is a stark reminder of the potential dangers of slimming aids if misused. She stresses the importance of self-perception and staying grounded on any weight loss journey. If you’re considering options like jabs, be sure you’re well-informed, and never bypass professional advice.
