This company, based in Ilford, was renowned for organising Hajj, Umrah, and Ziyarat trips worldwide, and now follows a trend of travel business closures this year.
Founded in 1995 by the late Haji Bashir Bhaie Chokhawala and Haji Yusef Bhai Kherada, Yourtravelshop began its journey as a service for family and friends. By 2004, it was officially incorporated and quickly grew into a trusted name, helping thousands of pilgrims embark on spiritual journeys every year.
Before its operations were halted, the company offered a wide range of packages. Pilgrimages were priced attractively, with two-week Ramadan Umrah trips for £1,200 and full month experiences starting at £1,875. Their upmarket ‘signature edition’ trips went for £3,400.
However, now their website shows a “404 Not Found” error, leaving many loyal customers in the dark. On July 26, the unfortunate news hit the Gazette, with Donald Harper and Andrew Maak of The Insolvency Practice Limited declared as joint liquidators on July 21.
