Three husky dogs have been given a new lease on life after being rescued from appalling conditions. The poor pups were found in a filthy flat filled with rubbish, faeces, and needles, all linked to their owner’s struggles with heroin addiction. Thankfully, the heroic team from the RSPCA and local police found the dogs just in time.

When officers entered the property, they were greeted by a stench of faeces and urine and witnessed piles of clothes and garbage covering the floors. In the back room, the dogs were living in squalor without any food or water in sight. All three huskies were underweight and anxious, but still “bright, alert, and active.”

After their rescue, Max, Lola, and the puppy received much-needed care at the RSPCA clinic. Both adult huskies were alarmingly thin, with body scores of just one out of nine. Thankfully, their fortunes have turned. Hope Rescue took them in, and now the two adult dogs have gained weight and are thriving.

The puppy and Lola have since found their forever homes, while Max is still at Hope Rescue, eagerly waiting for his perfect match.

RSPCA Inspector Simon Evans shared wise words following this case: “Every animal deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, and if you are responsible for an animal, you must make sure their welfare needs are met.” These three resilient dogs are now well on their way to the loving futures they deserve! 🌟🏠🐕
