🏉 Rugby Rollercoaster: Love, Drama, and Unforgettable Comebacks! 🏉
It’s turning out to be quite the summer for Wales captain Dewi Lake, who just announced his engagement to Rebecca Baker! 💍 Popping the question at the picturesque Hensol Castle, Dewi shared the blissful moment on Instagram. Congratulations poured in from the rugby world, with players like George North and Dan Edwards sending their best wishes. With an upcoming move to Gloucester and a spot in the squad for the summer fixtures, it’s all happening for the 27-year-old skipper.
Meanwhile, across the globe, All Blacks scrum-half Cam Roigard’s antics during the Hurricanes’ triumph over the Blues have got everyone talking. 🚨 After a contested penalty, Roigard hit the ground in apparent agony… only to spring up seconds later for a game-changing quick tap! Fans and commentators alike were buzzing with criticism, some branding it “football stuff” and “disgusting.” But the Hurricanes didn’t miss a beat, storming into the Super Rugby Pacific final with a decisive 57-21 victory.
In the Gallagher Premiership, Exeter boss Rob Baxter is celebrating one of the most stunning comebacks in recent memory. With a 27-26 win over champions Bath, Exeter heads to the finals after erasing a 16-point deficit. Reflecting on the game, Baxter praised his team’s resilience and was confident they’d exploit the opportunity in the second half—and they did just that. Bath head of rugby, Johann van Graan, highlighted the disappointment but also recognised the valiant fight from his side.
From engagements to contentious plays and remarkable rallies, the world of rugby is as thrilling as ever! 🌍💪
