🏉 Big news in Welsh rugby! Former Scarlets star Steff Hughes is back at his beloved club, stepping into a new role as interim defence coach. After making a name for himself with Old Glory DC in the US, where he wore many hats including attack and backs coach, Hughes returns to Parc y Scarlets. “This club has always meant a huge amount to me,” says Steff, who’s eager to bring his States-side experience to the Scarlets’ pitch. Welcome back, Steff! 🎉

Meanwhile, rugby fans might have to change their weekend plans. The Nations Cup match between Chile and Georgia is now closed to the public due to a looming storm. Originally set in La Serena, it’s been moved to Santiago with no crowd allowed for safety reasons. Organisers are working to ensure fans can tune in via Disney+ in Chile and other broadcasters. 🌧️⚠️

And over in Italy, coach Gonzalo Quesada sees his ban reduced to one match after making an on-air apology for comments about a referee. It’s a reminder to play it cool, even when the pressure’s on! 🇮🇹
