Tragic news from Bristol: Donna Crossman, a passionate Take That fan, was on her way to Ashton Gate stadium to see her favourite band when she was struck by a car and tragically lost her life. The 53-year-old, who had a remarkable career managing the Wales women’s rugby and netball teams, was hit by a Citroen C1 driven by Fiona Hodge.

The incident happened on Bristol’s Brunel Way, where the car reportedly mounted the pavement, narrowly missing her friends but fatally striking Donna. A trial is underway with Hodge, 69, denying causing death by dangerous driving. Prosecutors claim she wasn’t paying enough attention behind the wheel, while her defence argues she experienced an epileptic seizure.
In court, it was revealed that Hodge and her passengers had been enjoying a day in the Mendips before returning to the city. Witnesses driving behind noted her car’s erratic movements prior to the accident.

Donna Crossman was not just a fan heading to a concert but a former manager at the prestigious Principality Stadium and the Pentagon, known for her incredible contributions to women’s sports in Wales. Her sudden loss is deeply felt in the community.
