Emergency services were on point, with fire service vehicles meeting the aircraft on the runway, ensuring everyone’s safety. Passengers and crew disembarked without a hitch, and, remarkably, the incident wasn’t due to engine failure, just an unfortunate bird strike.

Both Cardiff and Birmingham Airports have reassured travellers that safety remains paramount. Everything was handled smoothly, with operations briefly paused at Birmingham to accommodate the diverted flight’s safe arrival.
