ππΆ Big traffic news for Cardiff this June! If you’re heading to the city centre, keep these dates in mind: June 16th & 28th, as both days will see major road closures due to huge concerts at the Principality Stadium. π€

π₯ Take That will hit the stage on June 16th, followed by Metallica rocking out on June 28th. To ensure everyone gets in and out safely, roads around the stadium will be closed from 3pm to midnight. π

π£οΈ Roads affected include Kingsway, Cowbridge Road East, Duke Street, Castle Street, and many more. If you’re driving, be aware that even more roads will close 30 minutes before the events end, particularly around the train station.
π Great Western Railway and Transport for Wales are ramping up trains to get you home after the gigs. But be prepared for queues β plan ahead and double-check those last train times just in case!
π ΏοΈ Need to park? Park & Ride services are set up for both events. For Take That, head to Cardiff City Stadium, and for Metallica, make your way to the car park by Vindico Arena. It’ll cost you Β£15 for convenience. Civic Centre and Sophia Gardens also offer event day parking for a bit more.
π Buses will be on diversion, so check with your operator for route details. Cycling or walking could be your best bet if you’re local β avoid the hassle!
π City centre car parks are an alternative for shoppers, but theyβll likely be busier than usual. Disabled parking is at Sophia Gardens, but check ahead for availability.
π’ Whether you’re going to the gigs or navigating the city, keep this info handy. Let’s make sure everyone enjoys the music and travels safely! πΈπ
