🚨 Cardiff City Transfer Update! 🚨
Bluebirds boss Brian Barry-Murphy assures fans that Cardiff City’s current transfer embargo is just a temporary hurdle. The issue stems from a delay in filing accounts, but whispers around the club suggest it’ll be sorted soon. 🕒
As the team gears up for their clash against Bradford City this Saturday, Barry-Murphy has his eyes on bolstering the squad, especially between the posts. With links to Everton’s Harry Tyrer, the manager hinted, “We need a goalkeeper, definitely. We want a goalkeeper straight away.” 🧤
The situation is critical as Cardiff currently juggles only two goalkeepers: Nathan Trott and Matt Turner. Barry-Murphy explained that after an injury left them thin in this key area, the need for another reliable goalie is pressing. The academy’s Jake Dennis and Ewen Griffiths are set for loans, further highlighting the urgency.
But it’s not just about the keeper! Concerns are growing at left-back, with Joel Bagan shouldering the role solo for too long. Barry-Murphy is keen on adding depth here, noting the importance of future-proofing the squad while staying focused on immediate gains. ⚽️
“Our focus is on today, but having players who strengthen us now and tomorrow is critical,” he said. With promotion in sight, Cardiff’s recruitment aims to bring in assets that promise both current competition and future stability.
Stay tuned for more updates as Cardiff aims to fortify their line-up and push for success! 💙
