🚨 Cardiff City Update! 🚨
Manager Brian Barry-Murphy has set the tone ahead of crucial contract decisions with four key Bluebirds: Nathan Trott, Perry Ng, Ryan Wintle, and Joel Bagan. Right after Cardiff’s 1-0 victory against Port Vale, Barry-Murphy brushed off rumours and made it clear the focus remains on the pitch—until the season wraps up. ⚽🔵
As the season draws to a close, with just one home match left against Northampton Town, Barry-Murphy remains cool and collected, insisting that speculation adds no value: “It’s a waste of time.” His eyes are firmly set on finishing strong, and decisions on player futures will come once the final whistle of the season has blown.
Trott has been a star this season, pulling off some stunning saves; Cardiff fans will be pleased to know a purchase clause is in play now that promotion to the Championship is secured. Despite whispers of a deal not being nailed down, Barry-Murphy emphasizes patience and preparation: “There are so many moving parts… if something happens, it happens.”
It’s been a triumphant journey with promotion already celebrated last weekend, and Barry-Murphy highlights the importance of savouring every moment: “The players should enjoy this with their families and friends…because promotion is a rarity.”
Saturday’s clash with Northampton isn’t just about the game; it’s a chance for fans, players, and their families to celebrate a sensational season together. 🎉 Barry-Murphy hopes for a packed Cardiff City Stadium to witness yet another thrilling performance: “Let’s enjoy these moments. When the season ends, the group might not be the same again.”
