🎉 Big news for Cardiff City fans! 🎉
Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman has confirmed that the club has no plans to sell young star Dylan Lawlor this summer. Lawlor, who’s been a standout player in their promotion-winning campaign, has attracted attention from clubs both in the UK and internationally. Dalman emphasized that any decisions would ultimately be driven by head coach Brian Barry-Murphy but reassured fans there’s “zero intention” of letting Lawlor go.
Meanwhile, forward Callum Robinson opened up about why he stuck around after Cardiff’s tough 2025 season. Following their 5-1 win over Northampton Town, he revealed that the pride of promotion was a key motivator. Robinson, who scored in the match, shared that despite playing second fiddle at times, the joy of bouncing back to the Championship made it all worthwhile.
Cardiff’s decisive victory over Northampton also saw rival boss Colin Calderwood admit his side was “tortured” by the Bluebirds’ dominant display. With goals from Ollie Tanner, Joel Colwill, Robinson, and Yousef Salech, Cardiff’s power proved too much for the Cobblers.
🏟️ Cardiff City fans, how are we feeling about the club’s future? Is this the beginning of a new era for the Bluebirds? Let’s keep the conversation going in the comments! 💬🔵
