🚨 Cardiff City Transfer Talk! 🚨
As the dust settles on Cardiff City’s promotion to the Championship, the Bluebirds have confirmed their retained list for the 2026/27 season, showcasing where they need to focus in the upcoming transfer window.
🔒 Between the sticks, Nathan Trott is the undeniable No.1 after a stellar first season. No new additions needed here! 🧤
🔵 At right-back, Perry Ng’s new two-year deal is a huge relief. With rising star Ronan Kpakio, this position is well-stocked unless a loan is in the cards.
🛡 In centre-back territory, Dylan Lawlor leads the pack alongside Calum Chambers, Will Fish, and Gabriel Osho. But with five senior defenders, expect some departures for a leaner squad.
⛔️ Left-back is a key target this summer. Joel Bagan had a fantastic run, but there’s an undeniable need for depth and competition in this area.
🎩 In midfield, Ryan Wintle’s exit creates a gap at the No.6 spot. While Eli King and Dakarai Mafico have potential, a seasoned holding midfielder is crucial. Numbers are strong for No.8, yet more physicality might be needed. As for No.10, another creative spark would be a wise addition.
🚀 On the wings, there’s talent but more flair and goals are essential. Ollie Tanner shone last season, yet Cardiff might crave more directness and explosiveness.
⚽️ Upfront, Yousef Salech stands firm, but with Kion Etete likely moving on and Roko Simic returning from Germany, adding another striker might depend on forthcoming player exits.
Cardiff fans, get ready for an exciting summer of transfer action as the team strategises to strengthen its Championship bid! 💪 #Bluebirds #CardiffCity #TransferNews
