🚨 Incident at Cardiff Nursery Raises Concerns 🚨
A staff member at The Green Giraffe Day Nursery in Pontcanna, Cardiff, reportedly “held a child down” during naptime, sparking worry among parents and the community. The individual involved has since resigned from their position.
The Family Adventures Group, which operates the nursery, confirmed they were aware of the March incident and described the behaviour as “unprofessional practice.” They reassured everyone that CCTV footage was reviewed and an internal investigation conducted. According to them, the child’s wellbeing was unharmed, and the child’s parents were promptly informed. The nursery remains a trusted environment for the family, with the child continuing full-time attendance.
The Green Giraffe Day Nursery, known for its nurturing and safe environment for kids from six weeks to five years old, immediately reported the incident to Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). After reviewing the matter, CIW decided no further action was needed.
The nursery emphasises its commitment to maintaining high standards of care and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children. They remain in close contact with CIW to ensure best practices are upheld.
