Exciting news for Carmarthen! Plans have been unveiled for an eco-friendly housing development on the town’s outskirts. A total of 84 homes featuring air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, and solar panels are in the pipeline. Half will be up for grabs on the open market, while the remainder will be available for social rent or low-cost ownership.

Situated off Ffordd Pendre, with easy access from a new roundabout, these homes will range from cosy one-beds to spacious four-beds. The development promises to blend modern living with green spaces, featuring open areas, play zones, and paths across over a quarter of its eight-acre site. Plus, 155 new trees and hedges will spruce up the surroundings!

Lovell Partnerships Ltd is behind this innovative project, set to raise the bar for quality living in the area. They’re committed to energy efficiency with clever heat-recovery systems for showers and dedicated bike spaces to encourage cycling.
Interestingly, this is just part of a larger master plan for the area, which envisions a total of 1,100 homes, a school, and recreation spaces. Initial community consultations are underway, with topics like privacy, air quality, and transport already being addressed. While the plans are still under council review, they promise minimal impact on the local traffic network.
So, keep your eyes peeled, Carmarthenshire – this development might just be the catalyst for a new era of sustainable and stylish living! What do you think of these plans? Let us know in the comments below! 🚴🌳🏡
