🎾 Big day for Emma Raducanu fans! 🏆 Emma is set to face Croatia’s Donna Vekic in the Queen’s final today, after storming through two tough matches yesterday. Despite rain delays and a minor injury scare, she powered through with impressive wins over Kamilla Rakhimova and the American sensation Iva Jovic. Catch the final live on BBC1 at 1.15pm. 📺
Emma expressed her excitement, saying, “It means everything to be doing this here at Queen’s. The whole day has been electric.” She’s thrilled to be back on the court at such high standards, highlighting her recent hard work and resilience. 💪
Annabel Croft, former British number one, is noticing shades of the old Emma who claimed the US Open in 2021 but believes we’re seeing a whole new level of play. “It was a tougher semi-final than the scoreline suggests,” Croft noted, praising Raducanu’s mental strength and flawless performance.
There are some concerns about Emma’s fitness after she had to pause during the quarter-final for treatment on her left leg. Fingers crossed she’s in top form for the match! 🤞
