The drama unfolded when the police responded to reports of a man dangerously brandishing a Rambo knife from a car window. Upon arrival, they found Rombach with the knife and gun positioned on a BMW. What followed was a barrage of racial slurs directed at the officers. Among the insults hurled were references to hate groups and threats that left the officers feeling deeply unsettled.

Despite being restrained and taken to hospital, Rombach’s tirade continued unabated, with more appalling threats and offensive language aimed at the officers. He later pleaded guilty to several charges, including possession of an imitation firearm and racial abuse.
