π¨ Attention Dog Owners! π¨

If you’re planning a beach day out with your furry friend in Pembrokeshire, here’s what you need to know! ππΎ

Pembrokeshire is sticking to its “warn and inform” strategy when it comes to dog restrictions on beaches. So, before you pack up the pooch, make sure you’re aware of where these restrictions apply. Full dog bans are on Tenby’s North Beach and Whitesands in St Davids from May 1 to September 30. Partial dog restrictions are in place at popular spots like Lydstep, Newgale, Saundersfoot, Tenby Castle and South Beach, Amroth beach, Poppit Sands, Broad Haven North, and Dale. And remember, Coppet Hall has a voluntary dog restriction daily from 10am to 6pm.

While guide dogs are welcome year-round, itβs essential to check local bylaws to make your day at the beach hassle-free. ποΈπ Recently, Pembrokeshire Council was questioned about these restrictions and confirmed theyβll continue operating lawfully with a focus on “warn and inform.”
Councillor Rhys Sinnett assured that while enforcement is primarily advisory, persistent rule-breakers could face statutory measures. No automatic fines here, but be aware that community protection warnings or notices could be issued if needed.
So, be a responsible dog owner, enjoy the stunning beaches, and respect the rules to keep them enjoyable for everyone! ππΆβ€οΈ
