Heartfelt tributes are pouring in for actress Kaitlin Olson, who shared the heartbreaking news of her father’s passing on social media. Known and loved by Wrexham AFC fans thanks to her and her husband Rob McElhenney’s involvement with the club, Olson opened up about the immense loss of her father, Donald Lee Olson.

In an emotional Instagram post, Olson wrote, “Honestly it feels a little gross to bring this to social media. It’s too fragile and too private. But nothing feels more wrong than to just move on with life as if the worst thing in the world didn’t happen.” She continued, “My dad died. My first love, my first protector and my forever favourite person… He fought so hard and so long to stay with us.” Her touching words were accompanied by cherished family photos, capturing precious memories.

In response, McElhenney, also a co-owner of Wrexham alongside Ryan Reynolds, penned his own heartfelt message, saying, “Words are impossible. There is no one like him. My whole goal in life is to be half the man he was.”

Friends and fellow celebrities showed their support in the comments. Actor Dax Shepard described Donald as a “man-among-men”, while Mary Elizabeth Ellis remarked on his legacy of raising a wonderful daughter. Jimmi Simpson, David Hornsby, and Melanie Lynskey were among the many offering love and condolences.
