🚨 Shocking Incident at Aldi Store 😟
In a disturbing event, a vile predator, Matthew Thomas, was caught following a four-year-old boy around an Aldi in Caldicot before sexually assaulting him. The young boy bravely alerted his grandad, who quickly intervened. Thomas had sinisterly waited for the chance when the grandfather was distracted before making his move.
Prosecutors revealed that Thomas, 29, persistently trailed the family for about 12 minutes, during which CCTV captured his revolting actions. As they paid, Thomas watched from outside, and once again tried pinching the boy’s shorts when the family reunited in the trolley area. The boy courageously cried, “Stop doing that!”, exposing Thomas’ despicable behaviour.
The boy’s mother described this distressing ordeal as having potential lifelong impacts, admitting that it has shattered the family’s sense of security. They’ve resorted to online shopping, fearful of another traumatic encounter. The event has particularly affected the grandfather, who now hesitates to venture out with the children.
Thomas’ past reveals a similar offence in 2024 where he received a supervision order. This time, Judge Carl Harrison has sentenced him to 18 months behind bars, with a sexual harm prevention order now in place, and a restraining order protecting the young victim.
