Feeling a bit Grinchy this Christmas? You’re not alone! A new poll reveals some surprising things Brits want to chuck out of this year’s festive season. Topping the list are Brussel sprouts, with 26% wishing these little green veggies would vanish from the Christmas table. 🎄🥦

But the sprouts aren’t the only things on the chopping block. A significant chunk of us would prefer to skip the traditional King’s Speech, and, in a twist, even beloved Christmas crooners aren’t safe! Sir Cliff Richard and Michael BublĂ©’s festive tunes are starting to sound a bit off-key for many, with Cliff’s classics like “Mistletoe and Wine” heading for Room 101 thanks to 14% of voters. Michael BublĂ© isn’t far behind, with 12% ready to ditch his seasonal serenades.
Consumer expert Vix Leyton explains, “With the cost-of-living crisis, people are focusing on the things that truly matter and saying goodbye to what doesn’t spark joy.” This sentiment is echoed across the UK, with many choosing to forego costly traditions and embrace a more personal celebration.

Interestingly, Liverpool is now crowned the UK’s official Grinch capital, with 17% of locals saying they’d cancel Christmas altogether if they could! 🎅⛔️
Here’s a peek at what else made the “ban” list this year:
– Eggnog – 22%
– Christmas Jumpers – 19%
– Christmas Newsletters – 18%
– Mince Pies & Turkey – 17%
– Elf On the Shelf – 17%
– Fake White Christmas Trees – 16%
– Inflatable Decorations – 16%
Whether you’re decking the halls or keeping it low-key, remember: Christmas is what you make of it! So, what’s on your festive to-ban list this year? 📝🎄
