🚨🌡️ School Closures Alert in Wales! 🌡️🚨
As the Met Office issues a red weather warning, over 100 schools in Wales will shut down on Wednesday due to sizzling temperatures soaring to 39°C! 🌞🥵 Some schools have decided to close entirely, while others are introducing measures to tackle the heat. Here’s the scoop:
🏫 **Full Closures**: Many secondary and primary schools across councils like Bridgend, Caerphilly, Swansea, and more won’t open their doors at all.
📉 **Partial Closures**: Some schools will close early, either after lunch or at 1pm, as temperatures peak.
🍽️ **Keeping Cool**: Expect cold school lunches, shifts in dress codes, and modified lessons focusing on keeping pupils cool and safe.
Local councils are working closely with schools to implement safety protocols. Whether it’s adjusting break times, modifying uniform policies, or ensuring kids stay hydrated, the priority is student welfare.
Before you head out, make sure to check with your local school for the latest updates. Stay hydrated, seek shade, and avoid strenuous activities!
Let’s get through this heatwave safely! 💧🧢🔥#HeatwaveInWales #StayCool #SchoolClosureUpdate
