🌟 Missing Park Geese in Newport: Festive Fowl Play? 🌟

A Christmas mystery is brewing in Newport as five beloved geese have vanished from Black Ash Park, causing quite a stir! These semi-tame birds, cherished by locals and roaming near the park’s stream, are owned by a nearby resident. Sadly, almost half of the dozen geese have mysteriously disappeared in just a week, prompting fears they might have found their way to someone’s Christmas dinner table. 🍽️

Cllr. Allan Morris, who’s familiar with the geese since forever, says these feathered locals are like “little celebrities” in the community. While they do leave some messy footprints, they’re generally adored by Newport’s residents. However, with goose being a festive favourite, there are whispers that the missing birds might have been swiped for the season’s feasts. 🎄

Allan’s message to all: If you fancy goose for your Christmas feast, buy one from the butcher or supermarket – not from the park! 🦢 He assures there’s no evidence linking the thefts to any specific group, especially not immigrants, who are fitting in wonderfully in the area.
This incident is a first for Newport, with no reports of similar wildlife disappearances. Locals, now on high alert, are keeping a watchful eye on the remaining geese, ensuring their safety. While some might not miss them, many more will, including Allan himself.
Let’s show our feathered friends some festive kindness and respect our local wildlife! 🌿✨
