🏉 Ready for a Rugby Showdown! 🏉
This weekend, Dewi Lake is set to face the mighty All Blacks for the first time at the senior level, and the excitement is palpable! 🌟 Despite having 24 caps in Test rugby, Lake and the Kiwis have yet to clash—until now! Though they met back in 2019 when Lake captained the U20s to an unforgettable 8-7 victory. You can bet tears were shed then, so imagine the celebration if we break that 72-year spell against New Zealand!
Lake is all geared up: “Look, we’re naturally confident in our abilities. Facing New Zealand is a dream come true,” he says. “We know they’re top-notch, so we’ll need to bring our A-game. But make no mistake, we wouldn’t even be in the game if we didn’t think we could win.”
After edging past Japan last weekend, hopes are cautiously optimistic. The challenge is colossal, but the Welsh camp is buzzing with energy and determination. Lake’s ready for the ultimate test against one of rugby’s finest.
It’s a David vs Goliath story, but Lake and the Welsh squad are embracing that underdog spirit—we’ve always loved proving doubters wrong!
So rally round the boys in red and get ready for an epic rugby battle. It’s going to be a cracker of a match this weekend. The countdown is on! 🤞🍀
